Prince Harry's 'painfully awkward' mistake led to tense call with cousin Eugenie

Prince Harry's relationship with many of his royal relatives may currently be worse than ever but he has managed to remain close to one family member through thick and thin.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly still best friends with his younger cousin Princess Eugenie, who he regularly enjoyed family holidays with as children then went on to hit London's hottest night spots together when they were older.
Despite everything that has happened between Harry and the Firm in recent years, the duke's bond with Eugenie has remained and the mum-of-two is the only royal to have featured in Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix docuseries after visiting them at their home in Montecito, California.
Their strong relationship means that Harry was happy for his cousin to previously play matchmaker between him and her pal Cressida Bonas which ended in an awkward phone call between the two royals.
In his tell-all memoir Spare, Harry, 39, recalled how he was introduced to actress and model Cressida and sparks flew.
They got to know each other over and a few weeks later there was a second date where Harry dropped her home afterwards.
Cressida didn't invite him in but Harry said he went in for the kiss but his "aim was off" which resulted in a very awkward moment.
He wrote: "She turned, I tried again on the return trip, and we managed something like a graze. Painfully awkward."
The next day, Harry explained that he called his cousin to tell her about the evening and to fill her in on the awkward end - but Cressida had already beat him to it.
Harry continued: "Discouraged, I told her the date had gone well but the ending had left something to be desired.
"She didn’t disagree. She'd already spoken to Cressida. She sighed. Awkward."
