Prime Video Sets Premiere Date for Fourth & Final Season of 'Jack Ryan'

Prime Video dropped the official trailer for Tom Clancy’s “Jack Ryan,” the political thriller series is set to return with two episodes on Friday, June 30. The six-episode season will be available on the streamer, with the remaining four episodes dropping two each Friday, until the series finale on July 14. The fourth and final season will follow CIA Acting Deputy Director, Jack Ryan, who is tasked with uncovering an internal and national corruption conspiracy; per the official release, “Jack and the team investigate how deep the corruption runs, he discovers a far-worse reality—the convergence of a drug cartel with a terrorist organization—ultimately revealing a conspiracy much closer to home and testing our hero’s belief in the system he has always fought to protect.”

John Krasinski is set to take on his last and most dangerous mission yet as Jack Ryan in the fourth and final season of, which returns to Prime Video on June 30. In the official trailer, viewers see the CIA analyst turned Acting Deputy Director «facing an enemy both foreign and domestic» in the upcoming, conspiracy-driven episodes. «It terrifies me,» Ryan says at the beginning of the trailer, which sees him being questioned by Congress over the United States' possible involvement in a covert mission. According to Prime Video, he will be «tasked with unearthing internal corruption, and in doing so, uncovers a series of suspicious black ops that could expose the vulnerability of the country.

Prime Video‘s “Jack Ryan” has been a massive hit for the streaming service, and John Krasinski‘s take on the character will end this year. Developed by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland, the show was the fifth adaptation of Tom Clancy‘s popular book series, which previously saw Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine play the character on the big screen in films like “The Hunt for Red October,” “Patriot Games,” “Clear and Present Danger,” “The Sum of All Fears,” and “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.” READ MORE: Summer 2023 TV Preview: 40 Must-See Shows To Watch “Jack Ryan” was the first televisual adaptation of Clancy’s material and saw Krasinski play the character for the entirety of the series, whose previous three seasons lasted eight episodes.

Deadline reported last year. The first two episodes of the final season will be released on Prime Video June 30, with two episodes releasing per week, leading up to the series finale on July 14. Jack Ryan’s season 3 finale aired just six months ago, but John Krasinski told TheWrap in December that the series’ creators elected to shoot the final two seasons back-to-back following a long break between seasons 2 and 3 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “That was the whole idea, knowing that the fans would go so long in between two and three, we decided to do three and four back to back so that they wouldn’t have to wait that long again.”In the same interview, Krasinski said the final season will be a salute to the show’s ensemble cast.I think it’s really a celebration of this team, it’s a celebration of trust, and how nothing’s gonna get done if we can’t rely on each other. So it really was – probably the most ensemble of all the seasons is in Season 4, and how we all work together.

J. Kim Murphy Investigation Discovery has partnered with Michael Bay, with the filmmaker slated to executive produce a new true crime documentary series for the network. Kathleen Finch, chairman and chief content officer for the U.S. Networks Group at Warner Bros. Discovery, made the announcement Wednesday morning during the company’s Upfront presentation. The series is set to premiere in 2024 and will “expose a terrifying, yet little known, true crime story.” “When Michael Bay first approached us to collaborate on a true crime project, we instantly knew we wanted to join forces,” Jason Sarlanis, president of crime and investigative content for linear and streaming at ID, said in a statement. “Michael Bay is an incredibly dynamic filmmaker and producer whose vision and storytelling appeals to audiences far and wide. This partnership will be the perfect addition to our blockbuster nights on ID.” 

Charna Flam Netflix announced the return of “Is it Cake?” and the addition of its latest “Nailed It!” spinoff, “The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge,” with both to premiere on the platform this summer. “Is It Cake, Too?” will premiere on June 30. It will keep deceiving celebrity judges as some of the world’s most talented bakers compete to create hyper-realistic cakes that look exactly like everyday objects. Marvel has set the Disney+ premiere dates for the second season of “Loki” with Tom Hiddleston, and the “Hawkeye” spinoff series “Echo,” studio chief Kevin Feige announced during the Disney upfront Tuesday. The Season 2 premiere of “Loki” will debut Oct.

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Prime Video has set May 18 for the global release of its upcoming Indian anthology series “Modern Love Chennai.” This is the third Indian adaptation of “Modern Love,” the internationally acclaimed original anthology directed by John Carney, following “Modern Love Mumbai” and “Modern Love Hyderabad.” Produced under the banner of Tyler Durden and Kino Fist, with Thiagarajan Kumararaja as the creator, the six-episode anthology presents a bouquet of love stories set in the city of Chennai that explore relationships, push boundaries, and open minds.  “Love stories and rom-coms have never been my cup of tea.
