J. Kim Murphy It’s the end of the road for Jack Ryan. Prime Video has slated the premiere date for the fourth and final season of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.” The espionage action series, which stars John Krasinski as the CIA spy, will premiere the first two episodes of its final season on June 30. Two episodes will be released weekly thereafter, with the finale of the six-episode season debuting on Prime Video on July 14. The new episodes of “Jack Ryan” come to the streamer only six months after the third season debuted in December. Prime Video debuted all eight episodes of Season 3 simultaneously over the winter, but has shifted to a weekly release structure for the final season. The series was renewed for a fourth season prior to airing episodes of its third.
“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” now finds Krasinski’s secret agent man acting as the CIA’s deputy director, on a mission to investigate drug cartels, terrorist organizations and a domestic conspiracy. The series also stars Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly and Betty Gabriel, with Abbie Cornish returning as well. “Jack Ryan” newcomers Michael Peña and Louis Ozawa join the ensemble for the final season. The series comes from Amazon Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television. Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, Michael Bay and John Kelly serve as executive producers. Tom Clancy will also executive produce the fourth season alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell under the Skydance Television banner, as well as Vaun Wilmott, Mace Neufeld and Carlton Cuse.

Fans of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan won’t have to wait long for the series’ final chapter. The fourth and final season of the popular Prime Video series starring John Krasinski will premiere June 30, just over six months after the Dec. 21 release of Season 3. That is by far the shortest gap between seasons, compared to 1 year and 2 months (between Seasons 1 and 2) and 3 years and 2 months (between Seasons 2 and 3).
said back in December that Season 3 and Season 4 were shot back-to-back so fans “wouldn’t have to wait.”This fourth season will find Jack Ryan (Kransinski) in a brand new role — CIA Acting Deputy Director — and per the official logline, he’s “facing an enemy both foreign and domestic… As Jack and the team investigate how deep the corruption runs, he discovers a far-worse reality — the convergence of a drug cartel with a terrorist organization — ultimately revealing a conspiracy much closer to home and testing our hero’s belief in the system he has always fought to protect.”Sounds like we might be getting a “Clear and Present Danger” reimagining, similar to how Season 3 sort of mashed up “The Sum of All Fears” and “The Hunt for Red October.”Alongside Krasinski in the title role, “Jack Ryan” stars Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November and Betty Gabriel as CIA Acting Director Elizabeth Wright, with Abbie Cornish returning as Cathy Mueller. New to the show for the final season are Michael Peña as Domingo Chavez and Louis Ozawa as Chao Fah.“Jack Ryan” is co-produced by Amazon Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television.

He took over the series regular role of Shane Langston from Rory Cochrane, who was originally cast in September before exiting at the end of last year due to scheduling conflict as the production schedule changed, Deadline has learned. He had not filmed any scenes, so the recasting did not require reshoots, I hear. Production on Season 2 of Reacher wrapped in late February.
