Post Malone announces 2022 North American tour

Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a six-date tour of Australasian stadiums, for which they’ll be joined by Post Malone.It’ll be the first tour for both acts in 2023, kicking off in the New Zealand city of Auckland on Saturday January 21. They’ll play in Dunedin next, before heading over to Australia for shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.Tickets for all shows can be found here.

Nova Twins have announced their second tour of North America for 2022, returning with their just-released ‘Supernova’ album.The London-native punk duo made their stateside debut back in March, performing a showcase at this year’s SXSW alongside a handful of club gigs. The ‘Supernova’ tour will be their first proper trek of the continent as a headlining act, with 11 intimate shows lined up across September and October.They’ll start at The Roxy Theatre in LA, performing on Tuesday September 27, before rolling through San Francisco and Seattle over the last few days of the month.

Declan McKenna has announced he’ll embark on a North American tour in September in support of latest album ‘Zeros’, over two years since it arrived and marking his first shows Stateside since 2019.The 15-date run will begin on September 25 at in Seattle, and will also include stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Texas and more. Support for the tour will come from singer-songwriter Annie DiRusso.

Turnstile have shared an official music video for their ‘Glow On’ album cut ‘New Heart Design’, alongside the news of a North American theatre tour slated for October.The video offers newcoming fans a preview of what to expect from the tour, comprising a montage of shots filmed during their recent stints in North America and Europe. Shot entirely on 16mm film, it was co-directed by singer Brendan Yates and longtime collaborator Ian Hurdle, the latter of whom captured the concert footage. As for the song itself, the version of ‘New Heart Design’ featured in the video sports an extended ambient outro. Post Malone has admitted that he writes 60 per cent of his lyrics while sitting on the toilet.The rapper and singer said in a new interview that he considers the bathroom to be his “oasis” where he has also written around 30 per cent of his albums to date.“Shit literally comes to me because I write all my songs on the can,” he told The Howard Stern Show. “I’d say about 30 per cent of all my albums have been written on the shitter, and I’d say 60 per cent of lyrics have been written on the shitter.”He added that he can spend up to two hours on the toilet on occasion writing music and that he has a special notepad for the activity.Malone continued: “It’s my special zone because no one wants to come talk to you while you’re taking a shit.

Post Malone has revealed that he asked permission from Frances Bean Cobain to do his Nirvana charity livestream event in 2020.Taking place in aid of The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for The World Health Organization (WHO), the rapper/rocker performed a 15-song set in celebration of the grunge icons.Among the songs he covered were versions of ‘Lounge Act’, ‘On A Plain’ and ‘Heart-Shaped Box’. Amyl & The Sniffers have announced a new run of North American tour dates, marking their second tour of the continent this year.The new dates will see the Australian band return to the United States in September and October. The tour will begin with an appearance at the first-ever Los Angeles edition of the  Primavera Sound festival, before taking the band on a run of 14 headlining shows across the country.It follows on from the band’s previous tour in April and May of 2022.
