The new docuseries, based on the popular Spotify playlist, will tackle provocative issues through the lens of hip-hop visionaries.The series will be executive produced by Karam Gill, who will also be creative director; Steve Rivo, who will also serve as showrunner; Carl Chery and Liz Gateley, overseeing creative on the show for Spotify; and Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman on behalf of IPC. Jack Harlow showed his support for Lil Nas X at the 2022 BET Awards after the “Old Town Road” crooner didn’t receive any nominations this year.

Mariah Carey made a guest appearance at this year’s BET Awards, where she joined Latto for a performance of ‘Big Energy’.The BET Awards, which took place last night (June 26), included a number of performances from the likes of Jack Harlow, Lizzo and Chance The Rapper.Latto took to the stage to perform her single, which originally came out in September, with Carey appearing on a new remix in March.For the performance of ‘Big Energy’, Young Dirty Bastard opened, with Carey later belting out a high note hidden behind a screen. The screen eventually lifted to reveal Carey as she performed her verse.

Best New Artist trophy at the 2022 BET Awards, Latto gave viewers one of the best performances of Sunday night's ceremony. The 23-year-old began with her new single, «It’s Givin,» dancing on a desk surrounded by dancers in center stage. She smoothly segued into her mega-hit, «Big Energy,» with Young Dirty Bastard joining the rapper to pay homage to his father, the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. Young Dirty Bastard rapped his verse from the «Fantasy» remix, which Latto's track features.  2022 BET Awards: See All of the Star-Studded Performances! Surrounded by background dancers, the rapper hit his signature two-step as he performed the single.In one of the biggest surprises, Brandy graced the stage and delivered a verse alongside the rapper, before dancing alongside him.The singer's appearance comes after Harlow caught flack around the internet for not being familiar with her music catalog and impact. Harlowkicked off his night with support for his friend, and collaborator, Lil Nas X. The rapper wore a shirt featuring Lil Nas X's face with black Givenchy pants and boots. Lil Nas X reacted to his friend's nod to him on the carpet — following being snubbed from this year's ceremony — on Twitter.  «wow i really love this man,» the rapper responded to a tweet featuring a photo of Harlow from the carpet. Harlow’s performance comes after social media took issue with his nomination in the Best Male Hip-Hop category.
