Police are searching for a man amid unconfirmed reports of a 'kidnapping' in Sale on Wednesday evening (December 6).
A car was pictured within a cordon on Clarendon Crescent and was being searched by officers with torches at the scene following the incident, in which residents claimed they heard a man shouting for help.
The Manchester Evening News understands that initial reports of a kidnapping were made however this is yet to be confirmed following further investigations.

Pictures from the scene on Wednesday evening show a cordon in place on Clarendon Crescent, including a silver BMW which was being searched as part of the crime scene.
Greater Manchester Police are trying to track down a man, thought to be walking along nearby Dane Road shortly before 6.30pm, to make sure he is 'safe and well'. Any witnesses or anyone with information is being urged to contact the force immediately.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers are responding to an incident on Clarendon Crescent in Sale and following enquiries to locate a male, wearing dark trousers with a white stripe, believed to be walking along Dane Road around 6.25pm on Wednesday 6th December.
"Officers want to make sure he is safe and well. If you've seen this man or someone matching his description, or know about his whereabouts, contact police on 101 or 0161 856 7525 quoting log 2733 of 6/12/2023."
