Danny Murphy accepts Manchester United should be excited about what Kobbie Mainoo can achieve as he will give them "everything" in their engine room moving forward.
The highly-rated teenager started against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon and, yet again, shone in what was only his third Premier League outing for the club. He partnered on-loan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat in a double pivot as United held their fiercest rivals to a creditable point.
Mainoo, 18, made his top-flight debut on Merseyside last month when United defeated Everton. He pressed forward his claim for more regular game-time before Erik ten Hag gave the youngster a rest in the final eight minutes.

In a post-match edition of Rio Ferdinand's popular FIVE podcast, Murphy was asked what he liked about Mainoo and needed just one word to sum up the teenager. Murphy said: "Everything!"
Murphy added: "He's athletic, calm on the ball, he likes getting his foot in and he's emotional. He was geeing their fans up when he came off in the game.
"He's got everything you'd want in a midfielder, that mix of tenacity - I'll have a go - and that calmness on the ball. He's going to be a really, really big player for United in the future.
"I think he's only started three games: away at Everton, away at Newcastle and away at Liverpool. For a young kid, the manager and the other players must trust him."
Mainoo, who was born in Stockport, progressed through United's famed academy and made his top-flight debut for the club last month.
