Police on the hunt for man who has escaped prison

Police are hunting a man wanted for controlling behaviour and escaping prison. Gavin Phythian is also wanted in connection with possession with intent to supply.
The 33-year-old is thought to have links to Tameside, Rochdale and Oldham. Officers are appealing for help from the public to track him down.
Greater Manchester Police shared an image of the offender as part of an appeal on social media.

GMP said: “Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace Gavin Phythian. Phythian (21/06/1989) is wanted for controlling and coercive behaviour, absconding from prison and possession with intent to supply.
“He is known to have connections in Tameside, Oldham and Rochdale. Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Phythian is asked to contact police on 0161 856 9045 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
