This Morning host Phillip Schofield was spotted having the time of his life as he partied at this year’s National Television Awards following his co-star Holly Willoughby's decision to ditch the lavish after party and go home early. Smiling brightly, the stylish presenter looked every bit the winner as he sported in a dashing blue velvet lounge jacket and blue turtle neck while making his way through the crowds.
Holly and Phil had been in attendance at the annual celebration of the best and brightest talent in television, with every winner having been voted for entirely by members of the public. On the night, This Morning won the Best Daytime TV Show award, as it saw off stiff competition from Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop to take home a gong for the twelfth year in a row.
As the show was announced as the winner for the Daytime category, a stunned Phillip put his head in his hands and appeared to hold back tears as he was overwhelmed by the news. Holly looked equally as surprised and pleased as she immediately hugged her co-star and off-screen ‘bestie'.
She then rushed off to embrace fellow presenter Alison Hammond, who had missed out on a solo award for TV Presenter to reigning champions Ant and Dec, who took home the prize for the 21st year in a row. While many of the celebrities in attendance applauded the show’s victory, it didn’t come without its controversy, with several boos being heard from the crowd as they headed up on stage to accept the award, so soon after the now infamous queue jumping scandal at the Queen’s Lying-In-State.
