Back and better than ever. Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan are officially giving things another shot after their whirlwind Bachelor romance came to an end last year.
“We’re definitely keeping it a little bit more private this time around just because we kind of have that luxury that we didn’t have last time,” the 31-year-old pilot exclusively told Us Weekly at the Points Guy Awards at Terminal 5 in New York City on Wednesday, December 7. “And it’s been really, really special. I think we’re both enjoying how it’s been the second time around and things happen for a reason. And I can say I’m very happy.”
Flanagan, 30, agreed. “I’m happy – I genuinely am. We get along, we connect,” she noted.
The lawyer went on to explain how things are different this time.
“I think coming off the show, you have to go through a lot of stuff that puts a lot more pressure on you and this time around it’s a lot more relaxed, so it’s easier,” Flanagan said.
The pair originally dated for nearly one year in 2020 after filming Weber’s season 24 of The Bachelor. They announced their breakup on New Year’s Eve before getting back together in early 2021. They split again that February.
Us exclusively confirmed in September that Weber and Flanagan were “full-on back together” after they were spotted over the summer. They made their red carpet return at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala in October as the Chicago native battles the disease.
“I’m OK, I’ve been better lately,” Flanagan told Us on Wednesday. “I’ve been going through some slumps, but overall, I feel like I’ve been doing a lot better than I was last year.”
Flanagan also revealed that she and Weber won’t be spending the holidays together because her 85-year-old father is going through some health issues.
