Pep Guardiola has reportedly chosen to sign Harry Kane over Erling Haaland this summer.
The Manchester Evening News understands that City are keen to bring Haaland to the Premier League. However, recently surfaced reports suggesting that a deal is already done are slightly premature.
Italian journalist Fabio Gatto has claimed that Guardiola is 'unsure' about the 21-year-old and would rather bring Tottenham striker Kane to the Etihad. Kane was heavily linked with a move to Manchester last summer but the deal eventually fell through.

Gatto (via Football Transfer Tavern) has claimed that the Blues are still very interested in the English striker. He explained: "Man City is close to Kane.
"The player was chosen by Guardiola himself because he believes he fits his style of play. The alternative is Joao Felix. The Spanish coach does not believe that Haaland would fit his game."
Elsewhere, Juventus are being linked with a big move for City striker Gabriel Jesus. According to reports in the Daily Star, Guardiola could be keen to sell Jesus as he prepares to bring another striker to the club. It is believed that Juve think a £65million bid will be enough to force City's hand.
Reports in Brazil yesterday suggested that Jesus is soon to be offered a contract at the Etihad that would double his current wages. Jesus' current deal at the Etihad expires in June 2023.
