Elsewhere, Manchester United are reportedly 'pushing hard' to sign Ronald Araujo from Barcelona. Despite settling on Raphael Varane as a long-term partner for £80million captain Harry Maguire last summer, the Old Trafford giants continue to be linked with further moves at centre-back and Barcelona prospect Araujo has already been earmarked as one option in that regard.
According to reports, United stepped up their interest in the 23-year-old last week. With less than 18 months to go on his contract at the Nou Camp, an extension there has yet to be agreed.
