A Tottenham Hotspur icon has given Manchester United the green light to move for Harry Kane in the summer.
Kane has been linked with a move to United as they look to strengthen their frontline options. Edinson Cavani is expected to leave the club at the end of the season and the England captain could be one of those viewed as a possible replacement for the Uruguayan.
He was in fine form once again for Spurs during their 5-1 victory over Newcastle on Sunday. Despite not scoring, he helped lead his side in a dominant display that moved the north London club into the top four while United dropped to seventh.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, David Ginola stepped into Kane's boots when asked about where the Spurs star will be playing next season. He explained: "I am Harry Kane, okay I love the club, I love Spurs, but everyone wants me.
"I have the choice to go anywhere. So, I’m thinking about my age, how long I have left in the game, what I want to achieve in the game, what I want to be remembered for.
"Will I sign for another big club? I don’t think he would go to a foreign club, I think he’d stay in England, but he wants to win trophies."
Kane looked set to be joining United's rivals Manchester City last summer. However, the deal fell through and the 28-year-old stayed in the capital.
After a poor start to the season, Kane has now hit form at just the right time. In 42 appearances this season he has scored 22 goals.
