Castaway Diva, starring Park Eun-bin of Extraordinary Attorney Woo fame.Castaway Diva follows Seo Mok-ha, a crass countryside girl who has pipe dreams of becoming a pop star. One fateful day, as she’s making her way to Seoul city in order to make her dreams come true, Mok-ha somehow finds herself stranded on an uninhabited island, where she remains for the next 15 years.The new trailer introduces the eccentricities of Mok-ha, who speaks in a heavy dialect synonymous with rural South Korean towns and is extremely vocal about her dreams, despite being well aware of the fact that she “sounds hopeless”.
Nevertheless, she doesn’t let her naysayers stop her from doing what she can to achieve that dream, even if she really does have a “one-in-a-million chance”.Park Eun-bin of Extraordinary Attorney Woo stars as Mok-ha, and is joined by the likes of Kim Hyo-jin, Chae Jong-hyeop, VIXX’s N (credited as Cha Hak-yeon) and more. The series is produced and broadcast locally by South Korean cable network tvN and will premiere on October 28.Episodes will be broadcast every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20pm KST thereafter.
Streaming platform Netflix will bring the show to global audiences with release schedules coinciding with tvN’s.Last year, Park Eun-bin starred in the popular K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The Devil’s Plan.Netflix announced that it would bring The Devil’s Plan back for a second season in a new press release. the reality show originally premiered in September this year with a star-studded cast of contestants, including SEVENTEEN‘s Seungkwan, actress Lee Si-won, Esports player Guillaume Patry and more.In its press release, Netflix noted that The Devil’s Plan had “shot to the top of Netflix’s Top 10 TV series in South Korea” following its release.

The Marvels director Nia DaCosta has revealed how the K-drama Itaewon Class led her to cast Park Seo-joon in the upcoming film.DaCosta recently spoke to South Korea film magazine Cine21 ahead of the release of The Marvels in the East Asian country on November 8. The Finals has announced another beta for the upcoming free-to-play shooter and players will be able to earn in-game extras and keep them for launch.Held from October 26 to November 5, this will be available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players and it will an open beta allowing for cross-platform play.Two maps from the closed beta will return, Monaco and Seoul, and a new map titled Skyway Stadium will be introduced.Players can get to grips with The Finals mechanics and movements in the practice range before entering one of the four game modes.Cashout involves teams of three players who will compete to find cashboxes, secure them and then deposit them in vaults.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo.Park Eun-bin made the revelation while discussing her upcoming role as Seo Mok-ha in the upcoming K-drama series Castaway Diva, where she plays a girl who finds herself stranded on an uninhabited island for the next 15 years.Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar Korea, the Extraordinary Attorney Woo actress said that she had “a lot of time to reflect on myself” while filming the hit K-drama series because it was “actually a very lonely time for me”, as translated by Soompi.“But when I read the script for Castaway Diva, I felt like character Seo Mok-ha would be able to overcome the difficulties of the human being Park Eun-bin,” she explained. “I received a lot of good offers back then, but the main reason I chose Castaway Diva was because I wanted to gain Seo Mok-ha’s strength.”Castaway Diva will premiere October 28 on South Korean TV network tvN.
Netflix has released a new trailer for reality series Squid Game: The Challenge – check it out above.Based on Hwang Dong-hyuk’s Korean survival drama, the reality show sees 456 contestants from around the world compete in various challenges inspired by the series for a $4.56million cash prize.A synopsis reads: “As they compete through a series of games inspired by the original show – plus surprising new additions – their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated around them.”As shown in the trailer, the show’s anmatronic doll returns for Red Light, Green Light, while the elevated glass bridge and honeycomb games from the series are also represented.It also shows some of the dynamics between contestants, as one remarks: “You can’t trust anybody in here.”The 10-episode season debuts on November 22, with new episodes premiering weekly through to December 6. The series is produced by Studio Lambert and The Garden.The streaming service announced a second season of Squid Game was in development in June last year.

Daily Dose of Sunshine, starring Park Bo-young.Daily Dose of Sunshine – slated for an exclusive global release on the streaming platform on November 3 – follows the story of nurse Jung Da-eun, portrayed by Doom at your Service’s Park Bo-young, whose adventure starts when she unwittingly ends up being transferred to the hospital’s Psychiatry Unit.The trailer features the unit’s miscellany of eccentric patients, from those who suffer from depression to those afflicted with schizophrenia. Despite her inexperience in the area, Da-eun tries her best to support her patients where she can – from letting herself get drenched in the pouring rain to bring a patient back into shelter to putting herself in harm’s way trying to restrain a violent patient.Due to her perceived inadequacy for the job, she apologises to the chief nurse, Song Hyo-shin (played by Parasite actress Lee Jung-eun), who comforts her and explains to her that mental illnesses are not as straightforward as the physical ailments Da-eun is used to treating.
