Overturned scrap metal lorry sheds its load A scrap metal lorry overturned and shed its load near the Rocket flyover early this morning (Saturday). The driver escaped with cuts and bruises after the incident at around 5. 20am today.
The overturned vehicle left the roadway strewn with scrap metal and other waste and led to the M62 being closed in both directions between J4 (for The Rocket) and J5 (for Huyton). Emergency services are in attendance at the scene and warned that recovering the vehicle and clearing up the mess was likely to be "a protracted operation. " Read the full story here.

Silver Moon is operated by Silversea Cruises and will be stopping over in Liverpool as part of its Southampton – Reykjavik voyage.
