Sam Heughan's alcohol brand Sassenach Select Spirits has taken home another award, but this time for his new Tequila.
The Outlander actor debuted his tequila brand, The Sassenach Select Double Wood Reposado, in December 2021, and was met with widespread praise and acclaim as he is already sweeping the awards.
The star, originally from Dumfries, is best known for his role as Highland Warrior Jamie Fraser in the TV adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's historical fantasy series Outlander.
The judges praised the tequila for its “clean and fresh palate with increasing savoury notes, honey, vanilla, late pepper and bitter herbals”.
The 41-year-old tweeted: "Gold Medal! I’m proud to share our Master Medal win #TheSpiritsMasters."
Revealing that bottles are now available to pre-order, he added: "Hope you’ll try a bottle of our award winning tequila! Slàinte and Salud! @SassenachSpirit X"
Heughan joined forces with El Tequileño Master Distiller Antonio ‘Tony’ Salles to create the limited edition Sassenach Select Tequila.
He wasn't the only celeb to pick up an award, as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's tequila brand Teremana Tequila Blanco, also picked up a Master in the 100% Agave Tequila -Super‐Premium Blanco range.
Judges described The Rock's tequila as a "well made approachable tequila".
