Placebo have shared the details behind their first North American tour in almost a decade.The string of dates will follow the release of the band’s eighth studio album ‘Never Let Me Go’ which is set for March 25. Tickets are on sale here.The tour kicks off in Vancouver in September, with stops in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco before it ends in New York.

Megan Thee Stallion has announced the first ever VR concert tour.The singer will hit road for a series of shows in the US entitled ‘Enter Thee Hottieverse’.The VR concert will feature a multi-song set that moves through a series of environments, and features “hot custom” wardrobes.Fans will be able to go to local cinemas and put on the VR headsets dubbed “Hottie Mounted Displays”, before watching Megan perform. Ned Eisenberg, a prolific stage, television and film character actor perhaps most widely recognized for his long-running recurring role as defense attorney Roger Kressler on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, died of cancer Feb. 27 at his home in New York. He was 65.

Metallica have played their first show of the year, kicking off 2022 with a performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.The show took place on Friday night (February 25), opened by support acts Ice Nine Kills and Greta Van Fleet. Metallica charged through a 16-song setlist, comprising classic cuts including ‘Ride The Lightning’, ‘Moth Into Flame’, ‘Nothing Else Matters’ and ‘Enter Sandman’, among others.Fan-filmed footage of the performance captured some fiery moments, as the band set off fitting pyrotechnics for the songs ‘Fuel’ and ‘Moth Into Flame’.

The always prodigious Steven Spielberg just released his first musical, “West Side Story,” in December, is already done shooting his next film (“Meet The Fabelman”), and already has many future projects brewing. Sources tell Deadline that he is attached to direct a new original story centered on Frank Bullitt, the iconic character played by Steve McQueen in the 1968 thriller Bullitt. Spielberg will also produce the pic along with Kristie Macosko Krieger, with Josh Singer on board to pen the script. The film is set up at Warner Bros.

Metallica’s first-ever recording of ‘Hit The Lights’ from 1982, featuring former bandmate Dave Mustaine, is set to receive a reissue on vinyl this April.‘Hit The Lights’ will feature on Metal Blade Records’ 40th anniversary reissue of its ‘Metal Massacre’ compilation, which was available from 1982 to 1984. The reissue – set to release on April 22 – will mark the first time that the rare recording has been made available since 1984.The 1982 recording of ‘Hit The Lights’ includes a guitar solo performed by Dave Mustaine, who played in Metallica for 11 months before being kicked out of the band shortly before they recorded their 1983 debut album, ‘Kill ‘Em All’.
