Meghan Markle is reported to be joining Prince Harry on his next UK visit after he announced he would be returning to London more often following King Charles' cancer diagnosis.
Harry dashed from the US to London earlier this month for a whistle-stop visit of less than 24 hours but has vowed to travel to the UK more often following the news of his father's health battle was made public. In an interview with ABC News, he said: "I’ve got other trips planned that will take me through the UK, or back to the UK, and so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can."
This time last year, however, thoughts were turning to the upcoming King's Coronation and chat was focused on whether or not the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would attend. US chat show host Oprah Winfrey waded in on whether she thought Meghan and Harry should attend the event at Westminster Abbey event on May 6.
Of course, it's now known that Harry made another dash across the Atlantic for that event and in the end, he came alone, as Meghan stayed in California with their two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Harry spent less than 30 hours in the UK as he headed back for Archie's fourth birthday celebrations.
After the release of Harry 's memoir Spare last year, in which he detailed some shocking allegations about his relatives, there was a strain on relations between him and the rest of his family, which meant there was doubt over his attendance either alone or with Meghan.
Previous issues came from Meghan and Harry's 2021 interview with Oprah, who then had her say on whether she thought it was a good idea for her Montecito neighbours to attend.
Talking to Gayle King on CBS, she was asked: "Do you think they should go, do you think they should not go?
