BLACKPINK’s Jennie says being made one of the group’s rappers gave her burnout

BLACKPINK‘s Jennie has opened up about experiencing burnout, and how she grew to “hate” being the K-pop band’s designated rapper.Last month, BLACKPINK played a ‘Born Pink’ concert in Melbourne, Australia. During the show, Jennie left the stage in the middle of performing ‘Lovesick Girls’, and did not return for the rest of the concert. Her label YG Entertainment then informed fans that the singer “was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating condition”, extending an apology to fans in attendance at the concert. Now, Jennie has spoken to Dua Lipa on the latter’s At Your Service podcast about how being placed as the rapper of the group led to difficulties for her.“I know one of the reasons you became a rapper is because you spoke English, so you got assigned the rap parts and you’ve obviously really grown into that rap role in BLACKPINK, it’s something that the fans love you for,” Dua told Jennie.

Brad Pitt Reveals Plot Details of Formula One Movie While Filming at British Grand Prix: ‘You’ve Never Seen G-Forces Like This’

Naman Ramachandran Brad Pitt has revealed some key plot details of his keenly anticipated Formula One racing feature. Over the weekend, Pitt and co-star Damson Idris filmed for the Apple production during the British Formula One Grand Prix at Silverstone in the U.K., driving laps around the legendary track. Speaking to former British racing champion Martin Brundle, Pitt told Sky Sports: “It’s all been great. The vibe is amazing, to get to be part of it and tell our story. The teams have opened their doors to us.” Pitt said that he plays “a guy who raced in the 1990s… who has a horrible crash, craps out and disappears, then he’s racing in other disciplines. His friend, played by Javier Bardem, he’s a team owner, contacts him. They’re a last place team, they’re 21-22 on the grid, they’ve never scored a point. But they have a young phenom, played by Damson Idris, and they bring me in as kind of a Hail Mary and hijinks ensue. Tell you what’s amazing about it — there are cameras mounted all over the car — you’ve never seen speed, you’ve never seen just the G-forces like this. It’s really, really exciting.”

‘In Camera’ Review: An Actor Fails One Audition After Another — But Finds a Part — In an Acidly Funny Industry Satire

Guy Lodge Film Critic The thing Aden likes about acting, he tells someone who cares enough to ask, is “how organized it is.” You know where you stand, quite literally, because someone tells you; you’re given things to say, and told how to say them. Order and certainty aren’t typically seen as benefits of the thespian calling, and even Aden doesn’t sound entirely convinced of his own words. But then Aden — played, in a performance of brilliant, diamantine versatility, by Nabhaan Rizwan — is never entirely convinced of himself, period, when he hasn’t a script to follow or a character to inhabit. A simultaneously playful and savagely pointed satire from first-time feature director Naqqash Khalid, “In Camera” traces how its young British-Asian protagonist’s sense of identity is progressively diminished by the cynicism and tokenism of the industry he’s trying to crack — though as it turns out, when you lose yourself entirely, all is not lost.

‘Indiana Jones 5’ Underwhelms With $70 Million at International Box Office, ‘Spider-Verse’ Hits $600 Million Globally

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is stumbling in its box office debut, generating $70 million internationally and $130 million globally to start. Those ticket sales wouldn’t be bad for a film aimed at older audiences, except for the fact that Disney and Lucasfilm spent $295 million before marketing to bring the fifth and final action-adventure, starring Harrison Ford, to the big screen. “Dial of Destiny” is posting similar numbers to Warner Bros. and DC’s misfire “The Flash,” which opened to $75 million internationally and $139 million globally but cost $100 million less to make. Both tentpoles are expected to lose money in their theatrical runs.
