Fans tuned in for the latest instalment of the drama starring Sheridan Smith as Kathy Powell, a mother of one who becomes entangled in a murder investigation while on holiday with her family in Turkey. The gripping new series began with Kathy’s 16 year old son, Noah, played by Andy Serkis's son Louis Ashbourne Serkis being accused and arrested for murder of another young boy.

No Return is set in Turkey, but a series of clues have revealed that it was filmed in Spain – including the fact all of the car number plates are Spanish. Others recognised the Spanish town in the background of various shots. One ITV viewer tweeted: “#Noreturn @Sheridansmith1 @ITV can’t believe you say it’s Turkey when it’s actually Benalmadena in Spain!” As another added: “Why didn’t they just set it in Spain because Turkey doesn’t look like that! #NoReturn.” A third commented: “Don’t kid this ain’t Turkey, this is clearly Spain! #NoReturn.” One viewer even revealed she had seen the ITV drama being filmed while she was on holiday in Spain. They wrote: “Fun fact, this was not filmed in turkey, not entirely, it was filmed in Nerja Spain, as we saw filming going on while there last September :) looked good though.” Even with the location errors, some viewers are convinced that the show is one of the “best dramas on TV” and Sheridan’s “finest work”.
