It would be a huge understatement to say that Sheridan Smith is a versatile actress. In recent weeks alone, she’s been on screens as a mother desperate to free her son in ITV’s No Return, as well as a teacher accused of sexually assaulting a pupil in aptly named Channel 5 series, The Teacher.
However, while the majority of her roles often seem poles apart, eagle-eyed TV fans have spotted one secret link between all of the characters she portrays. For her last three major TV roles Sheridan, 40, has worn an initial necklace to help her step into the shoes of her alter-ego.

Meanwhile, Sheridan’s accused character in The Teacher was called Jenna Smith, for which she wore a similar gold necklace with a ‘J’.
What’s more, Sheridan also had a silver ‘S’ necklace for her moving part as Sarah Sak in BBC true crime drama Four Lives. Fans watching at home have caught on to the tradition, as they’ve taken to Twitter to comment on their clever observation.
