This weekend will see the highly-anticipated return of Record Store Day - an annual event held every April to celebrate the cultural significance of the independently owned record store. The international event brings together fans, artists and thousands of record shops around the world, including more than 260 shops in the UK.

Dua Lipa, Craig David and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson are among the well-known acts taking to stages across Manchester this April. And there are still limited tickets available for last-minute gig goers to snap up.
Last month, Jake Bugg and James Arthur serenaded the city at O2 Victoria Warehouse and the O2 Apollo. But April is set to be even bigger, with performances being held at Bridgewater Hall and Manchester Academy.
If you simply can’t wait until festival season to watch some live acts, music lovers can still find some last minute tickets over on Ticketmaster.

Excitement continues to grow within the Manchester music scene as rescheduled shows are back on after the pandemic, and venues being able to operate at full capacity. So here are nine Manchester gigs that still have tickets left for their April shows.
Bastille have announced a run of headline shows for April 2022. Their Give Me The Future Tour will see them play their hotly anticipated fourth album live for the first time.

Alt-J announce London show to mark debut album’s 10th anniversary
Alt J have today (April 14) unveiled details of a one-off anniversary show at Brixton Academy.The gig will be a special one-off live performance of their 2012 debut album, ‘An Awesome Wave’, which went on to win the Mercury Prize.The band will be playing the album in full along with some “bonus tracks” at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on May 17.
