DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles stopped by The One Show on Monday night - however, viewers found themselves distracted by his new appearance. Fans have taken to social media to brand Nick as "unrecognisable" as he debuted a new look on the show.
The TV host, 61, was a guest on the BBC One chat show to talk about his new Channel 5 series The Might Mississippi with Nick Knowles. But it was his new beard that caught the attention of viewers - and The One Show host Alex Jones.
"There's an elephant in the room here. Nobody's talking about it.
There's a new look, Nick, going on well," she said. Explaining his longer facial hair, Nick said that he has been writing projects off-camera and so could grow out his bear.
He said: "I'm not actually doing any filming for a while. "I'm doing some writing and things and so I had the chance to grow a beard... I can't have a beard like this when I'm filming.'" Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to comment on Nick's guest stint on the show, with one writing: "Nick Knowles is totally unrecognisable #theoneshow." Another tweeted: "Loving Nick Knowles' new bearded look." Others were fully on board with the bushy facial hair.
One viewer wrote: "Nick Knowles is trending, and let's be honest he's looking very good, approaching his 62nd year." Another tweeted: "Someone has entered their Papa Bear era and, I fully support it." The TV presenter is best known for hosting DIY SOS, which he first brought to BBC One in 1999. He has since presented docuseries Real Rescues as well as game shows Who Dares Wins, Break the Safe and 5-Star Family Reunion. Nick recently stepped out with his fiancée Katie Dadzie, 34, earlier this month to celebrate the businesswoman's birthday.
