A special Red Nose Day 2024 show was broadcast live from Media City on Friday night (March 15).
Sir Lenny Henry took to the stage to host the two-hour telethon from the final time. He was joined by comedian Joel Dommett, presenter Davina McCall, comics Paddy McGuiness and Romesh Ranganathan, actor David Tennant, presenter Maya Jama and podcast host Rosie Ramsey.
Boyband McFly kicked off the night with a medley of Comic Relief hits from over the years, as well as their 2005 hit It's All About You. Their performance included renditions of Walk This Way, One Way Or Another and Uptown Girl.

While Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd put in an energetic performance, viewers couldn't help but spot one problem. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, they shared their thoughts.
@LeeRennoldson reckoned: "Erm, hang on! They missed out the best #ComicRelief song ever: THE STONK!" as @matthewlhunter agreed: "Slightly disappointed McFly didn’t do The Stonk then."
@charjo75 echoed: "Disapponted we didn't get The Stonk #ComicRelief2024" as @hboardk added: "If McFly don’t do The Stonk what are we even doing here? #RedNoseDay".
@SarahStiffin tweeted: "What a brilliant medley from the fantastic McFly. They are so underrated #RedNoseDay2024 #ComicRelief".
The Stonk was released for Comic Relief in 1991 by supergroup Hale & Pace and The Stonkers. The record was based on a fictitious dance craze and was co-written by comedy duo Gareth Hale and Norman Pace, along with Joe Griffiths. The single was produced by Queen guitarist Brian May, who was also featured on the track playing keyboard and guitar.
