Under the deal, U.S.-based customers with Fire TV and Amazon Echo Show devices can now access local breaking news coverage and original content on the free, ad-supported TV (FAST) channels of NBCU’s 15 NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations in top markets The agreement builds on NBCU’s existing deals to distribute Peacock on Fire TV, as well as Today All Day and Dateline 24/7 FAST channels. In addition, NBCU network apps including NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Syfy, USA, Universal Kids, MSNBC, NBC News, CNBC, NBC Sports and Telemundo are available on Fire TV.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Rhiannon Giddens has recorded her first solo album in six years, and her first album of all-original material ever, “You’re the One,” the singer announced Tuesday. The album will arrive August 17 on Nonesuch. Le Bon recently made her feature debut with “Falcon Lake” — which bowed at Cannes last year — and previously starred in Robert Zemeckis’s “The Walk,” as well as Terry George’s “The Promise” and Jalil Lespert’s “Saint-Laurent.” Le Bon stars in “Niki” opposite Damien Bonnard (“Les Misérables“).

K-pop boyband SEVENTEEN’s new mini-album ‘FML’ has become the highest-selling K-pop album in its first week to date.Yesterday (April 24), SEVENTEEN returned with their tenth mini-album ‘FML’, led by title tracks ‘F*ck My Life’ and ‘Super’. In less than 24 hours since its release, the record has set a new record for highest first-week sales for a K-pop album.According to South Korea’s Hanteo Chart, per The Korea Times on Tuesday morning KST, ‘FML’ sold over 3.9million copies after it dropped the evening prior, making it the highest-ever number of albums sold by a K-pop act in the first week of release.The record was previously held by BTS with their 2020 album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’, which had achieved over 3.3million sales in its first week.

Netflix has said it will invest $2.5BN in South Korean series, films and unscripted shows over the next four years.

KRW3.34 trillion) on South Korean film and TV production over the next four years. The total is double the amount it has spent in Korea since 2016, the company said. The promise was made by Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, at a meeting in Washington DC with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. “We were able to make this decision because we have great confidence that the Korean creative industry will continue to tell great stories. We were also inspired by the President’s love and strong support for the Korean entertainment industry and fueling the Korean wave. I’d like to personally thank the President for his kind response letter,” Sarandos said in a statement.
