Fans are convinced that a huge Netflix show could be making a comeback after nearly four years after a cryptic social media post sent them into a frenzy. Black Mirror dropped its last episode in June 2019, but a post on Twitter has got fans' hopes up that news regarding the show’s future may be imminent.
Created by writer and satirist Charlie Brooker, the sci-fi anthology series presents stand-alone dystopian stories that explore themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. Often likened to a modern take on The Twilight Zone, it proved a huge success when it launched on Channel 4 in 2011 before moving to Netflix.
In July 2022, it was announced that production had begun on the show’s upcoming sixth season, but since then everything has been quiet, and no potential release date has been confirmed. Now the show’s official Twitter account has posted a cryptic message, breaking nearly four years of silence.
