Midfielder Nemanja Matic has admitted that he believes Manchester United will have to win "almost every game" if they are to win the race for the final top-four berth this season.
With nine games left to play, United, who face Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday, are currently sixth in the table, four points behind Arsenal in fourth. The Gunners have a game in hand on Ralf Rangnick's side and have won six of their last seven games, highlighting that momentum is on their side.
United were expected to mount a genuine Premier League title charge this season following an impressive summer recruitment drive, which concluded with Cristiano Ronaldo's return to the club, but have fallen well short. Instead, they face the damaging prospect of missing out on Champions League football for next season altogether.

But whilst the odds are stacked against United in the battle to secure the final Champions League spot, Matic is remaining defiant about the Reds' chances. He has admitted that nobody within the camp will "give up."
"We need to finish in the top-four, that is our aim and we will do everything we can to achieve that," Matic told talkSPORT. "I think we can make it, but, of course, we will need to win almost every game until the end of the season.
"I think it's possible and we will do everything for that and never give up."
United's nine remaining fixtures this season offer a real mixed bag of opponents. Whilst they still have to face Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, all of whom are looking to achieve different objectives at the top end of the table, United also have to lock horns with relegation-threatened Everton and Norwich
