Liverpool favourite Jose Enrique has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo after the Manchester United superstar allegedly 'smashed a mobile phone from a teenager's hand' at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon. On the pitch it proved another frustrating 90 minutes for United as they lost further ground in the top-four race.
Anthony Gordon settled the scores for relegation-threatened Everton during a 1-0 defeat for United. Ronaldo was back in the line-up after recovering from illness and also suffered a nasty-looking injury during the game.

However, an alleged flashpoint involving the five-time Ballon d'Or winner came at the final whistle. As he walked back to the changing room, footage appeared to show Ronaldo knocking an object out of a person's hand.

Former United defender Nemanja Vidic has told the club’s players they need to be open-minded about their new manager ahead of the summer.
United look to be edging nearer towards an appointment, with Erik ten Hag moving closer towards Old Trafford. Ajax expect the 52-year-old to become the new boss after he was interviewed for the role last month — although Ten Hag refused to address the subject when asked on Saturday.
Although United insist they are yet to make a final decision on their next permanent manager, they still intend on having their appointment settled before the end of the season. Ten Hag emerged as the club’s favoured candidate earlier this year, having been one of the frontrunners along with Mauricio Pochettino following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking in November.
