The Writers Guild of America announced their film nominees for the delayed 2021 WGA Awards and, once again, the films that didn’t qualify shaped the list of honorees more than those who did. Awards season players “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and “Promising Young Woman” made the cut as expected in the Original Screenplay category.

The WGA on Tuesday unveiled the movie nominations for its 2021 WGA Awards, honoring outstanding achievement in screenwriting of original, adapted and documentary films during 2020. Winners will be March 21 in a virtual ceremony. Check out the full list below.

NBC’s Chicago trio led Wednesday night once again with Chicago Fire leading the way ticking up to a 1.0 in the adults 18-49 demographic and 7.33 million viewers, topping the evening in both regards. Chicago Med ticked down a tenth from last week delivering a 0.9 in the demo and 7.05 million viewers while Chicago P.D. rounded out the night holding steady at 0.8 in the demo and netting 6.16 million viewers.

NBC’s Chicago franchise continues to rule Wednesday night with Chicago Med leading the trio. The medical drama ticked up to a 1.0 in the adults 18-49 demographic and added more eyes to its audience with 7.30 million viewers week over week, winning the night in both regards per Nielsen’s Live+Same Day fast affiliate data. Chicago Fire (0.9, 7.18M) held steady, while Chicago PD (0.8, 6.02M) ended the night taking a one-tenth hit from last week.

Golden Globes 2021 nominations are in, and there’s some good news. This year, three women received nominations in the prestigious Best Director category, breaking a five-year streak of male-dominated nods: Regina King for One Night in Miami, Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman and Chloé Zhao for Nomadland.
