A mum whose daughter took her own life is hoping to end the stigma around the "silent killer" of suicide and help other people struggling with their mental health. Jade Roberts sadly died in April 2021 at the age of 26, just hours after taking a video of her playing in the garden and laughing with her children.
Mum Tracey said Jade was "always putting other people first" and was the life and soul of the party. Tracey, from Knotty Ash in Liverpool, has since set up a charity in Jade's name and has been announced as a finalist for the Make a Difference awards, the Liverpool Echo reports.
She said: "Jade was absolutely beautiful inside and out. She was constantly worried about others and their problems and I truly believe that was a way of hiding how she was feeling.

Tracey did realise the extent to which her daughter was suffering from anxiety and depression. She is now dedicated to ending the stigma around mental health, with the Jade Roberts Project providing help and support for those struggling with anxiety, depression, suicide and addictions.
In the eight months they have been open, Tracey has helped around 100 people and 30 of those have been in suicidal crisis. The suicide intervention therapist said mental health struggles are at an all time high with the cost of living and lack of support. But open four days a week, the CIC (community investment company) aims to help anyone in need so they do not
