Ian Evatt admitted that Morecambe got under the skin of Bolton Wanderers towards the end of the first half of their draw last night as he felt his side became too emotional after conceding.
Wanderers began the clash at the University of Bolton Stadium exceptionally well and could have been a few goals to the good by half-time.
Dion Charles missed a glorious chance and struck the crossbar with another effort, while Amadou Bakayoko saw an effort land wide.

But Cole Stockton gave the visitors the advantage after making the most of George Johnston's short pass to give the Shrimps the lead at the break.
Wanderers huffed and puffed after the break but got a stoppage time equaliser when Xavier Amaechi teed up fellow substitute Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to net late on and salvage a point with a 1-1 draw.
Shrimps boss Adams was booked midway through the first half for entering Bolton's technical area and handling the Wanderers players, according to Evatt.
The Bolton boss believes the Shrimps got under Bolton's skin which he feels was part of their plan but Evatt believes his side just want to protect their own in that circumstance.
He did feel though that Bolton got embroiled too much in Morecambe's 'spoiling tactics' when they ought to have stuck to their guns and be good at what they do as he was pleased to pick up a point after their first half showing at the University of Bolton Stadium.
He said: “I guess that’s what they want (to get under the skin). We just want to protect our own. That’s all we want. We want it to be a competitive football match and that’s as far as it goes really. I won’t stand for anybody
