A new video has emerged showing the moment Jessie Wallace was restrained by police after allegedly assaulting a police officer on 19 June in Bury St. Edmonds, Suffolk.The 50 year old actor, who is most well known for playing the role of Kat Slater in EastEnders, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting the officer and drunk and disorderly conduct outside a nightclub.
A new clip shows the soap star being restrained by two police officers at around 2am on Sunday morning, while a third joined his colleagues to help. Jessie has accepted a conditional caution for the incident outside the nightclub.
A conditional caution is not a conviction, but is used as an alternative to a charge and recorded on the Police National Computer. Online by Suffolk Police read: "A 50 year-old woman was arrested early on Sunday morning in St Andrew’s Street, Bury St Edmunds, on suspicion of assaulting a police officer/drunk and disorderly conduct and was released without charge after receiving a conditional caution." OK! has approached both Jessie and the BBC representatives for further comment.The star’s arrest comes after Jessie is thought to have recently moved in with her new builder beau.
"It’s like a plotline from the soap – a classic Kat escapade," a source told The Mirror. "Jessie seems to be over the moon." In previous snaps taken by publication, the pair have been spotted getting close at Jessie’s house in the north London suburb of Muswell Hill, taking his van for a spin.
