Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo has admitted it would be a “dream” to secure a move to Chelsea to renew ties with Graham Potter amid reports linking him with a potential Manchester United switch.
The 20-year-old is said to be on the radar of several Premier League big-hitters after an impressive stint with the Seagulls. He was brought in by Potter in February 2021 but got his break in the first team after returning from a loan spell at Belgian side Beerschot in January this year.
Caicedo, who will be a starter for Ecuador at the World Cup, has played an integral role in helping Brighton to fourth in the table after six matches this season. He admitted Potter’s Brighton exit left him “very sad” and the English manager made his Stamford Bridge bow in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with RB Salzburg in the Champions League.

The MEN first reported on United's interest in Caicedo in December 2020 but he ended up joining Brighton in the 2021 winter transfer window instead, with United withdrawing their interest following complex discussions over a move.
Questions about Caicedo’s future will undoubtedly be raised again in January. Last year, the player said a move to Old Trafford would be “a dream”, citing countryman and former Reds winger Antonio Valencia as an influence.
In August it was reported by The Guardian that Caicedo's camp had offered the player to United but earlier this month he dismissed talk of a potential move away from Brighton, saying: “I’m not thinking about any other club than Brighton. This is the club where I am now and I will give everything for this club and to keep doing well here."
