Art Brut will perform their debut album ‘Bang Bang Rock & Roll’ in full at a special show in London in the autumn.The band are set to play their 2005 record in its entirety at the capital’s Heaven venue on October 27. They’ll also treat fans to live airings of “assorted greatest hits” from across their career so far.“Shouty talky indie music is fashionable again,” frontman Eddie Argos wrote to announce the one-off UK gig.

Stromae has announced that he’ll be bringing his ‘Multitude’ tour to London next year with a one-off show at Wembley Arena.The Belgian singer-songwriter (real name Paul Van Haver) is set to release his long-awaited third album ‘Multitude’ tomorrow (March 4). It’s his first full-length release in almost a decade, following 2013’s ‘Racine Carrée’.During his hiatus from his own music, he worked on music videos for the likes of Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa.His headline show at the OVO Arena Wembley takes place on May 4, 2023. Tickets go on sale next Friday (March 11) at 10am – you can get them here.Elsewhere on the European leg of his ‘Multitude’ tour, Stromae will also perform in Amsterdam, Cologne, Berlin and Rome.

Kevin Morby has shared a new song alongside details of his seventh studio album and a world tour. "This Is A Photograph" is the lead single of an album of the same name, due May 13 via Dead Oceans. This Is A Photograph is Morby's follow-up to 2020 album Sundowner.

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have announced a full global cinema release for their forthcoming film This Much I Know To Be True.The film will be released in cinemas globally on May 11, with tickets going on sale on March 23. They will be available here.The Andrew Dominik-directed feature is a companion piece to the 2016 music documentary One More Time With Feeling, and premiered at the Berlin Film Festival this month.This Much I Know To Be True will explore Cave and Ellis’ creative relationship and feature songs from their last two studio albums, 2019’s ‘Ghosteen’ (by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds) and last year’s ‘Carnage’ (by Cave and Ellis).It will feature the first ever performances of the albums, filmed in Spring 2021 ahead of their UK tour.

It served as the opening film this year for the Generation section at the Berlin festival, a sidebar dedicated to new films exploring the lives of teens and children.

Yossman Sky have released first look images for a new Sky Original drama, “Unwanted.”Inspired by the book “Bilal,” an investigative book from journalist Fabrizio Gatti, the eight-part series tells the story of an undercover human rights defender who is helping migrants journey from Africa to Europe as they battle human traffickers and government officials.Stefano Bises (“Gomorrah”) created and wrote the series in collaboration with with the collaboration of Alessandro Valenti, Bernardo Pellegrini and Michela Straniero.

Memento International has sold the film to Benelux (Cineart), Spain (La Aventura), Italy (Movies Inspired), Greece (Cinobo), Hungary (Vertigo) and Middle East (Falcon). Ben Croll When developing films like 2008’s “Home” and 2012’s “Sister,” French-Swiss director Ursula Meier began by focusing on geography, imaging what stories may spring from a forgotten stretch of highway or how a remote mountaintop might shape the lives of those living upon it. But when she began work on “The Line,” which premiered on Friday at the Berlin Film Festival, the filmmaker had a different terrain in mind.“The setting for this film would be the character’s body,” Meier tells Variety.

Nick Vivarelli International CorrespondentItalian director Roberta Torre, known for campy Mafia musical “Tano to Die For” and other anarchic pics, is making “Le Favolose,” about a group of transgender women who reunite after 20 years to commemorate a dead friend and do right by her after her identity has been violated.“Le Favolose,” which translates as “The Fabulous Ones,” is being produced by Donatella Palermo, who is at the Berlinale with auteur Paolo Taviani’s competition entry “Leonora Addio.”Palermo, who has a longstanding rapport with Torre, is the Italian producer behind two Berlin Golden Bear winners: the Taviani brothers’ “Caesar Must Die” and Gianfranco Rosi’s “Fire at Sea.” “When a person decides to face the [gender] transition from man to woman it can be a very painful process in several different ways: social, physical, etc.,” said Palermo, who notes that “when a trans dies, most of the time their body is returned to their families.” Torre’s new pic is based on a real-life story of Antonia, one of the “Fabulous Ones,” who is buried by her family dressed as a man under her original name, Giampaolo, amid the indifference of most.

Violence and motherhood make for an unusual combination in Ursula Meier’s Berlin Film Festival competition title The Line (La Ligne). Set in remote present-day Switzerland, it stars actor-singer-playwright Stéphanie Blanchoud as Margaret, whose anger towards her mother Christina (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) frequently turns physical. While she’s a grown woman, there’s something primal and childlike about Margaret’s visceral fury that suggests a disorder that’s never named.
