Mobility Matters showcases new Greenock store live on Facebook with Daily Record

Mobility Matters celebrated opening its eighth store by hosting a live tour on the Daily Record Facebook page.
The store in Greenock’s Oak Mall at 51 Hamilton Road, recently opened to customers and it’s full of motorised scooters, wheelchairs, recliners, beds and living accessories to help people live independently.
Robert Frew, Managing Director of Mobility Matters took us on a tour of the store. He said: “Mobility Matters has grown over the past six years to now be the largest independent family-run mobility business in Scotland.
“We found there was a need for a specialist mobility shop in Greenock. We wanted to provide something a little bit special.”
Robert isn’t new to the business. He has over 22 years’ experience so knows what it takes to ensure his customers find the right products and services, however he says he learns every day.
“The end users are the people who have helped to grow this business. They’ve told us what they physically need and are looking for, and all we do is try to provide them with a piece of equipment that suits their needs,” he added.
Robert then toured the store and showcased a few of the best selling products at Mobility Matters. He started with walkers and provided some product demonstrations.
“Walkers have developed so much over the years,” said Robert, “And manufacturers are now making them out of carbon fibre. They’re so light.”
To prove this, Robert lifted a carbon fibre walker over his head as it weighed just seven kilograms making it much more accessible for those who need a little more assistance with their mobility.
Moving around the store, Robert showcased wheelchair attachments and scooters, before providing a demonstration of the mini scooters he has in store. He showed how a
