Fresh from his second role in Outlander as William 'Buck' MacKenzie, fans are getting to enjoy Graham McTavish in a new role as he is pictured in action for a new Game of Thrones TV show.
The New Zealand-based actor is set to star as Ser Harrold Westerling Lord Commander of the Kingsguard charged with protecting King Viserys I Targaryen – an ancestor of Daenerys from the original Game of Thrones.
He has joined the likes of Olivia Cooke, Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Emma D'Arcy, Steve Toussaint and Rhys Ifans on set for the much anticipated new prequel show, which takes place over two centuries before the original show.
It will feature the greatest civil war to rock Westeros as two sets of Targaryens – complete with multiple dragons on each side – go head to head for the Iron Throne.
In a blink and you'll miss it appearance in the trailer Graham can be seen reacting as a fight breaks out between rivals to the throne Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy).
However, Entertainment Weekly have just unveiled the latest images of Graham sitting resplendent in his shining armour on the back of a white horse, which you can see here.
The Scots star is beginning to make a name for himself starring in hugely popular film and tv shows based on some of the world's favourite fantasy novels.
