Joe Otterson TV Reporter CBS has renewed the comedy “Ghosts” for Season 4 and the drama “Fire Country” for Season 3. Both shows launched their new seasons in mid-February due to the impact last year’s dual writers’ and actors’ strike had on broadcast production schedules. “’Ghosts’ and ‘Fire Country’ are proven viewer favorites on both broadcast and streaming thanks to exceptional storytelling, talented actors and an ever-growing fan base,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment.

The creator of “Law & Order” and Wolf Entertainment have partnered with Alfred Street Industries on both “Homicide: New York” and “Homicide: Los Angeles.” Both shows will consist of five episodes each, with each episode documenting a different murder case in each city.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Kurt Sutter’s upcoming western drama series “The Abandons” at Netflix has added six new cast members, Variety has learned. Nick Robinson (“Maid,” “A Teacher”), Diana Silvers (“Booksmart,” “Space Force”), Lucas Till (“X-Men” film franchise, “MacGyver”), Lamar Johnson (“The Last of Us,” “Brother”), Aisling Franciosi (“The Nightingale,” “God’s Creatures”), and Natalia del Riego (“Hail Mary,” “Promised Land”) have all joined the series. They will star alongside previously announced star Lena Headey as well as Gillian Anderson.
