Michael Owen believes Erik ten Hag's history with Antony is a good indicator that he will be a success at Manchester United. Antony, 22, completed his dream transfer to Old Trafford hours before the summer window closed on Thursday night.
Antony was a United player by the time his new teammates got the ball rolling against Leicester City and went on to record their third straight Premier League victory. Next up for Ten Hag and his revived players - including Antony - is a Sunday afternoon challenge (4.30pm) against early-season pacesetters Arsenal.
Despite lacking game-time and match sharpness this season - as he sought a switch away from Ajax in the closing stages of the window - Antony is available for that Old Trafford showdown. He will compete with Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and others for a spot in the United line-up.

Antony touches down in the Premier League with a glowing reputation after totting-up 24 goals and 22 assists in 82 appearances for Ajax during his two seasons in Amsterdam. However, he also sets sights on his impending bow with a rather sizable price tag on his name after United made their move.
But what are the chances of him succeeding on these shores? Speaking to Premier League Productions while on punditry duties, Owen said: "I think another option up front in attacking areas was always what they were looking for. Ten Hag knows this player and he knows him really well.
"You always have confidence when a manager has managed someone before. You think he knows him better than anyone. If he has decided it is worth it to pay that kind of money - which is a lot of money - then I think we better watch this space."
