The Met Office has given its verdict on how hot Manchester will get this week as the sunshine has finally returned.
What's felt like weeks of wet and miserable weather has finally let up for some sunshine. Be sure to make the most of it though - as it won't be sticking around for very long.
The forecaster predicted that temperatures could top 26C on Thursday, but temperatures will soon be returning to average. What's more, there are no signs of any prolonged hot spells anytime soon.

A Met Office spokesperson told the Manchester Evening News: "The top temperature in Manchester this week could be 26C on Thursday, due to a brief ridge of high pressure allowing in milder temperatures from the south. It is only short lived though, as a cold front moves in from the west overnight on Thursday night bringing temperatures back down to around average - between 20 and 22C - from Friday and through the weekend."
They added: "Looking further ahead, the weather will be less unsettled than it has of late, but no signs of a prolonged hot and dry spell."
Today's forecast (Monday, August 7) predicts highs of 18C, with wall-to-wall sunshine until around 9pm. Tuesday morning will see some light showers first thing, which will clear up by the late morning, making way for some sunny intervals throughout the rest of the day.
Meanwhile, Wednesday is expected to be completely dry, with sunny spells changing to overcast by lunchtime and highs of 21C. Thursday could see highs of 26C - and it's currently on track to be sunny all morning, turning overcast and cloudy from around midday.
