Mel B teases Spice Girls reunion - 'We're going to do something'

In the late 90s, there was arguably no bigger girlband than the Spice Girls. So, when the rumour mill kicked into overdrive last year, that they'd be reuniting and performing at Glastonbury 2024, fans couldn't believe it.
That's why when we sat down for a chat with Mel B - AKA Scary Spice - one of the first things we asked is about a reunion with Baby, Ginger, Posh and Sporty. Mel is keeping her cards close to her chest on that one: “I’m getting told to shut up in the background,” she laughed when we prod – the idea of getting back together with her closest friends, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Victoria Beckham and Melanie Chisholm, is something she’d welcome with open arms.
“Us five are in talks to do something,” is all Mel coyly said. “And it will be coming out pretty soon.” Despite the passage of time and not performing together for nearly 12 years, there is clearly an unbreakable bond between the girls. Back in 2012, they reunited as a five-piece for the first time since Geri left the band in 1998.
Since then the group, sans Victoria, performed in 2019 for their Spice World Tour. But fans have been eagerly awaiting another announcement that includes all of the original line-up. “It’s amazing, it really is,” said Mel when we ask about their friendship.
On-stage reunions aside, it also appears that the five piece will come together at a very special event - Mel B's wedding to fiancé Rory McPhee. “I think to plan a good wedding, you need a bit of time. And I’ve got a lot of decisions to make,” Mel explained, careful not to give too much away about the exact date.
