Speculation about the couple's Christmas plans follows an initial report that Harry and Meghan were 'snubbed' from King Charles' recent birthday celebration.
A spokesperson for the couple however told the Daily Mail prior to the celebration: "There has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday. It is disappointing the Sunday Times has misreported this story."
The Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers commented: "They wanted it to be known that there was still no contact between them. They were putting it out actively to say that he has had no contact from anyone, his father or the Palace, and that just tells you a lot about the relationship."
As for Christmas this year, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams teased it's unlikely that Prince Harry and Meghan will make the journey over to the UK.
He told GB News : "I suspect there is a mixture of emotions there. That will certainly not change now. They have no base in Britain, things have reached that stage, it is not good. The rift means there is no such possibility at the moment."
