Martine McCutcheon opened up on her health struggles as she enjoyed a holiday with family. The actress, 47, headed to Mallorca with husband Jack McManus and son Rafferty where she shared her experience of struggling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome while on holiday. Martine was diagnosed with the illness in 2011 and is often open with fans on how the condition has an effect on her life.
In a new video, Martine is seen soaking up the sun on holiday in a polka dot dress, flip flops and shades as she lounges in a swing. In another frame from the video, she can be seen cuddling son Rafferty, 8, as the family enjoy a day at the beach together. However, in the video’s caption Martine shared how going on holiday with the condition was “tough” after she suffered from a flare-up of symptoms.
She wrote: “Mallorca life. Love it. Had a big flare up of my CFS lately and the travel was tough but waking up in the sunshine, feeling the hot heat soothe your aches and pains along with a warm gentle warm breeze is just heaven! Are you guys going anywhere this summer? Sending you all lots of love!” Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) - also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) - is a long-term condition that can cause a range of symptoms including extreme tiredness, muscle and joint pain, headaches and flu-like symptoms, according to the NHS.
