Martin Lewis has confirmed that energy customers can save money by switching providers 'at last'.
He praised one particular energy tariff which guarantees to always be slightly cheaper than the Ofgem energy price cap. However, there is a small catch before people can sign up.
Speaking on the Martin Lewis Money Show Live, the money-saving expert said: "It isn't the greatest saving in the world, but I'm allowed, at last, I'm able to say there is an easy deal many people can get to save money on energy."

He pointed towards the E.ON Next Pledge tariff, which he previously praised as being 3 per cent cheaper than the price cap. While he's spoken about the tariff before and similarly praised it, he stated that now it is even better because it's no longer just for E.ON Next customers.
The tariff increases and decreases alongside the price cap, however, each time it changes it is guaranteed to remain 3 per cent cheaper than the energy price cap set by Ofgem. It's important to note that your standing charge will not change on the tariff.
However, Martin said: "The saving comes on the unit rate." He added: "The bigger user you are the more you get the benefit because it's a discount on the unit rate."
To be eligible for the tariff, customers must pay their bills via direct debit and must have a smart meter installed in their home. The new tariff might be very tempting for most after it was confirmed that Ofgem will increase the price cap once again from January 1.
