After a year of waiting, Married At First Sight is back on our screens and a new group of single people are set to embark on a bold social experiment which will see them married to a total stranger. While meeting a prospective partner at the altar isn’t something many of us can relate to, former MAFS star Marilyse Corrigan knows the experience like the back of her hand. Having appeared on last year’s show, Marilyse married Franky Spencer and they happily said “I do” before separating six months after the experiment.

As Marilyse reveals, all brides on MAFS are given money to buy their own dress, though they must dig into their own pocket if they want something more extravagant. “As soon as I walked into the bridal shop, the first dress I saw was the one.
