One of the grooms of this year's series of Married At First Sight stormed off after being put off by his new bride's explicit remarks. Barber Matt, 32, revealed he was "ready to walk away" after he and his new wife, salon owner Gemma, 30, got into a heated argument during a trip away to Lisbon. Viewers of Monday night's show saw the pair arguing at a dinner table during their honeymoon, with Matt storming away from the table.
As the pair shared a drink after Matt proposed a toast to the pair enjoying the rest of their time on their honeymoon, Gemma replied: “My f***y’s throbbing. Let’s consummate this marriage," as Matt looked visibly fuming. He said to her: "You are sexually pushing me away.
It makes me go in on myself. I don't know what it is but for me it shuts me off." A tearful Gemma later explained to the cameras that Matt had left her at the table, saying: "I don't even know how it happened. We ended up having a really big argument." Matt was then seen explaining his side of things as he said: "I had to walk away.
I couldn't handle that situation anymore. Everyone's capable of filthy banter, a bit of a joke. Gemma takes it to a whole new level." The couple met for coffee later on to try and move past it, with Gemma asking Matt if he wanted to stay married, to which he responded: "I was ready to walk away last night." After a chat, Matt said: "I do want to move forward, I do want to see if there's a possibility to fix this." Gemma agreed, adding: "Hopefully we can make it work.” Viewers took to Twitter to share their outrage at Gemma's sexually-overt comments, with one writing: “What Gemma is saying is not OK.
