She’s a spontaneous person - when she was in her early twenties she packed up her life in the UK and moved to Australia to become a Veterinary Nurse - therefore her signing up for a TV show didn’t shock me, but she’s not been one for committing permanently so that was a little surprising. I knew there was no point trying to talk her out of it. Plus she was young and single, so why not give it a go? I was just happy to be along for the journey.
At the time she was living in Essex, and I was up in Devon so I wasn’t there for much of the planning. However, we were talking regularly over the phone where she spoke very matter of factly about the planning of the day. She was just going through the motions without taking in what it all meant.
