'Many people saw' Schiphol Airport accident as person dies after falling into plane engine

Passengers at Amsterdam's Schipol Airport were left in shock after a person was killed when they were horrifically sucked into a plane engine.
The tragic incident involved an individual, who has not yet been identified as either a passenger or an airport employee, becoming trapped in the engine of a KLM Cityhopper Embraer E190 as it was preparing for takeoff. Horrified witnesses described hearing a "hellish noise" as the person was drawn into and crushed by the jet turbine. One onlooker recounted: "Many people saw it happen."
In response to the distressing event, Amsterdam Schipol Airport has confirmed that both passengers and staff witnessed the gruesome scenes and is providing support to those affected, reports the Mirror.

The airport released a statement saying: "Today there was a horrible incident where a person ended up in an airplane engine. Our thoughts go out to the relatives and we care for the passengers and colleagues who witnessed this. The Royal Military Police is currently conducting an investigation."
At the time of the accident, the KLM Cityhopper Embraer E190 was being pushed back from its stand, ready to head to Denmark.
According to a Dutch military police source cited by The Telegraph, the aircraft was moving along the runway but had to abort its takeoff after an issue with the engine was detected. The plane was reportedly full of passengers, who authorities are keen to interview as part of the ongoing investigation.
