Manchester United's David de Gea distribution is the worst among goalkeepers in Europe's top five leagues.
That's according to fresh data that has been released, which ranks De Gea as one of the worst passers of the ball from goalkeepers that have played over 500 minutes this season in the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1. De Gea has been United's standout performer this campaign but his distribution has been questioned, despite some strong shot-stopping displays.
De Gea, 31, remained as United's No.1 this term over Dean Henderson, but some have criticised the Spaniard's quality when in possession of the ball. De Gea is out of contract next summer and it's believed dialogue over a new deal has begun.

De Gea has often been wasteful in possession this season or unable to find a teammate when receiving the ball.
The data has now confirmed that visual impression, with the below graphic highlighting just how poor De Gea is on the ball. The expected pass (xP) model shown estimates the probability a pass will be completed based on historical data.
Luis Enrique has consistently snubbed De Gea during his time as Spain's manager and the United stopper has spent the March international break at Carrington. It is highly unlikely De Gea will make it to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Brighton's Robert Sanchez recently withdrew from the Spain squad and there was still no room for De Gea. Barcelona B goalkeeper Arnau Tenas, 20, was called up to replace Sanchez instead.
