Gary Neville heaped praise on Manchester United midfielder Fred, lauding the Brazilian as a bright spark in a difficult season at Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old has been subject to criticism throughout the season but, since the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, his stock has soared. On Saturday, Fred helped the Reds to a point against Leicester City by firing into the roof of the net after Bruno Fernandes' effort was parried into his path by Kasper Schmeichel.
Fred appears to have enjoyed a new lease of life under Rangnick, adding goals to his game and putting in a number of impressive performances. Saturday's equaliser against the Foxes was his fourth goal of the season, the same as the previous three seasons combined.

"This season's been pretty good (for Fred), I think the game against Atletico Madrid which was a desperately bad night for Manchester United, he was fantastic, particularly in that first half," Neville told Sky Sports. "But it's a pretty low bar this season for Manchester United but he (Fred) can hold his head high."
David de Gea is arguably another player who can take positives from their showings this season. But on a whole, it has been disappointing for the Reds as they sit three points off the Champions League places.
