Manchester United have been 'informed' that it will take €30million to stand any chance of signing Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat this summer.
That is according to a report by Viola News, which claims that the Italian side are 'firm' on their €30m valuation and will not lower their demands. Amrabat is out-of-contract in June 2024 and Fiorentina are desperate to secure as much money for him as possible amid the prospect of losing him for free next year.
United, who have won each of their opening three pre-season friendlies so far this summer, have been regularly linked with signing the Moroccan international in recent weeks, despite having already added Mason Mount to their pool of midfielders this summer. Amrabat would provide cover and competition for Casemiro in the defensive-midfield berth.
Though there is next to no chance of the Brazilian being dislodged from Erik ten Hag's strongest starting line-up, United missed him desperately when he was unavailable last season, meaning they need adequate cover in that area of the team. The Reds don't currently have a recognisable defensive-midfielder in reserve, certainly not up to Casemiro's standard.

Amrabat, who played a key part in Morocco's fairytale run to the semi-finals of last year's World Cup in Qatar, would be a suitable option to provide cover for Casemiro. He thrives on winning the ball back in midfield and dictating play from deep.
He made a total of 49 assists for Fiorentina last season, registering one assist. He has been with the Serie A club since
